Enjoyable solo trip to Chandranath 2018

Solo trip to Chandranath

I haven’t been feeling well for the last few days. I needed a vacation. I needed a solo trip to fresh my mind. After informing the office they accept my leave request. I was wondering where to go! Suddenly, the Chittagong trip knocked on my mind. Tickets also have been purchased.

Beginning of a solo trip

Troubles on the day of the journey. I heard the news of Chittagong Port’s signal number 4 through various TV channels. Nabin warned me as soon as he got the news – Dost! Please don’t trek in the mountains in this rainy weather, the ground is very slippery. If possible, please change the plan! I just said: hmm. But inside me, I decided to climb the mountain.

At midnight I reached my destination.

When I reached Sitakunda, the time was midnight at 2:30. The bus stand and the roads were quiet. No one was there. I decided to go to the rail station to pass the night till Fajr. On the way one of the security said – Bhai! Don’t go to the station. It won’t be safe. Better, you go to a tea stall. and wait till Fajr.

The rain was continuing. And I was enjoying the rain with a cup of tea till Fajr. After the Fajr Azan, when the rain subsided a little, I went to the mosque and prayed Fajr, and was ready to climb Chandranath

Start to climb Chandranath

I started climbing Chandranath. When I first arrived at the temple there were three dogs. The dogs started behaving aggressively towards me. I was afraid. I sat on the floor and started reciting the Quran. After some time they calmed down. Then I started climbing the hill again. Now three dogs are also my travel companions. These three dogs were by my side the whole time.

The cloud-covered mountains and cool breeze amazed me when I reached the top. This trip was the best of my life.

A lot of trouble while coming down.

I got into a lot of trouble while using a different road while coming down. There are no stairs. Mostly narrow roads with slippery ground. If the foot slips, it is quite a bit down the hill. I was very nervous. If I took a little step, I would slip about three to four feet.

I slipped about four times. But with the help of Allah I did not fall off the road, Alhamdulillah!
When I went down my left leg hurt quite a bit, my right arm also hurt quite a bit.

On the way down from there, I told those who I saw climbing the mountain about what could be a problem and what they needed to be careful about.

Explore the city of love

From there, I got a room to freshen up in a hotel. After getting refreshed, I took a bus to the city. Initially, my plan was to go to Bhatiari, but due to heavy rain, I had to cancel it. Instead, I decided to explore Chittagong City. For lunch, I had a delicious Hyderabadi Biryani at Handi, located at the G.E.C intersection. The flavors were amazing, and it was a satisfying meal.

After lunch, I headed to the Naval area. Although I didn’t spend much time there, the brief visit was enjoyable. The weather cleared up a bit, allowing me to take in some sights before heading back. Later, I visited my grandmother, Nanu, which was a heartwarming experience.

After spending quality time with her, I took the road back to Dhaka. The journey was smooth and pleasant. Alhamdulillah, I returned to the city feeling grateful for such a wonderful trip. The experiences, the food, and the moments spent with loved ones made it a memorable journey.
